(Shot Segmentation / Camera Movement / Cinematography)
We are looking to find a skilled Camera Motion and Shot Annotation Specialist to join our growing team.
You will annotate camera motion, framing, and compositional features for individual shots in video content. The role supports training datasets for shot classification, visual structure analysis, and cinematographic pattern understanding.
Responsibilities:
Identify shot boundaries and annotate each shot with camera motion type such as static, pan, tilt, track, crane, zoom, handheld or aerial
Label framing categories such as extreme close up, close up, medium, medium-long, wide or crowd frame
Tag basic compositional attributes including centered subject, rule-of-thirds alignment, foreground/background emphasis and depth cues
Mark cut points and basic transition types to align shot metadata with edit structure
Flag ambiguous or mixed camera motions and document brief notes
Export structured shot-level metadata linked to timestamps and scene identifiers
Requirements:
Understanding of cinematography, camera movement, and standard shot naming
Ability to distinguish camera motion from subject motion
Experience with shot-level playback and annotation tools
Background:
Film production, camera operation, cinematography study, or editing
Prior experience with shot lists, storyboards or breakdowns
Sample Test Task:
Given a 2-minute clip, produce a shot list including shot numbers, timestamps, camera motion type, framing, and one line describing composition.

Compensation
