(Dialogue and Interaction Analysis)
We are looking to find a skilled Conversation Turn-Taking and Interaction Flow Analyst to join our growing team.
You will analyse multi-speaker conversations by annotating turn-taking behaviour, overlaps, interruptions and backchannel responses. These annotations support models that learn natural conversational flow.
Responsibilities:
Review recorded conversations and segment speech into turns associated with each speaker
Annotate overlaps, interruptions, simultaneous speech and backchannel cues such as acknowledgements
Label turn-length categories and identify interaction patterns such as dominant speakers or balanced exchanges
Provide concise notes describing interaction style such as competitive, cooperative, formal or casual
Flag segments where speaker identity is unclear or audio quality makes attribution unreliable
Requirements:
Ability to track multiple speakers accurately and maintain consistent speaker IDs
Familiarity with basic concepts in conversation analysis is helpful
Comfort with slow playback, repeated listening and fine-grained segmentation
Background:
Linguistics, conversation analysis, call-centre QA, user research or negotiation training
Experience working with multi-speaker recordings
Sample Test Task:
Given a two-minute conversation involving two or more speakers, segment all turns, annotate overlaps and backchannels, and provide a short summary of the interaction pattern.
Application Requirements:
Short note explaining what you consider healthy versus problematic conversational flow
Optional examples of past dialogue or interaction analysis work
Completion of the test task
Compensation
Per conversation analysed or per hour of multi-speaker audio, depending on assignment.
