(Speech and Emotion Analysis)
We are looking to find a skilled Emotional Valence and Speech Dynamics Analyst to join our growing team.
You will annotate emotional content and dynamic vocal patterns in speech. This includes assigning emotional labels, activation levels and tracking changes over time for models that learn how emotion is expressed vocally.
Responsibilities:
Listen to speech clips and assign emotional labels such as happy, sad, angry, fearful, neutral, excited or bored
Tag activation or energy levels and note intensity shifts across an utterance
Annotate emotional transitions within longer recordings, including blended or mixed states
Provide brief notes in ambiguous cases, for example when lexical content conflicts with tone
Follow consistency guidelines across speakers, contexts and languages
Requirements:
Strong ability to recognise emotional cues in tone and delivery
Comfort with repeated listening and fine-grained judgements
Familiarity with annotation tools for tagging segments and adding notes
Background:
Psychology, counselling, acting, voice direction or user research focused on emotional tone
Experience with emotion coding or qualitative analysis of recorded speech
Sample Test Task:
Given ten short speech clips, assign emotional label and activation level to each, and provide one or two lines for any clip where classification was difficult.

Compensation
Per batch of clips or per annotated hour, with rates adjusted for complexity of the label scheme.
