(Video / Visual Performance / Human Behaviour)
We are looking to find a skilled Gesture, Gaze and Micro Expression Analyst to join our growing team.
This role is dedicated to fine grained annotation of human non verbal behaviour in video. The analyst labels facial micro expressions, eye gaze shifts and body gestures to support training of models that infer emotion, attention and interpersonal dynamics.
Responsibilities:
Review close up or mid shot footage of people and annotate micro expressions such as brief smiles, frowns, eyebrow raises, surprise, disgust, fear or tension
Tag gaze direction changes including direct gaze, downward gaze, upward gaze and gaze toward another character or object
Annotate meaningful gestures such as hand movements, head nods, shrugs, posture shifts and self soothing actions
Provide start and end timestamps for each event and, where required, mark regions of interest such as face or hands
Distinguish between background motion and intentional communicative behaviour
Flag low visibility sections and document uncertainty in short notes
Requirements:
Strong ability to observe subtle changes in facial expression and body language
Comfort using video tools that allow precise scrubbing and zooming
Familiarity with basic behavioural coding or interest in psychological observation
Background:
Background in psychology, acting, directing, coaching or behavioural research
Experience with any kind of observational coding, performance review or coaching through video
Sample Test Task:
Given a 60 second clip of a two-person conversation, annotate all gaze shifts, micro expressions and noticeable gestures with timestamps and brief labels and provide a short summary of the interaction dynamics you observed.
Application Requirements:
Short note on how you differentiate a meaningful micro expression from random face movement
Any sample of previous observation based analysis or behavioural notes if available
Completion of the test task
Compensation
Per annotated minute of footage or per batch of labelled events, depending on project design.
