We are looking to find a skilled Japanese City Pop and Ballad Vocalist to join our growing team.

You will perform Japanese vocals in city-pop and J-pop ballad styles for training multi-style singing models.

Responsibilities:

• Record Japanese vocals in both mid-tempo city-pop style and slower ballad style

• Deliver characteristic phrasing, swing and vibrato

• Provide emotional and dynamic variants

• Maintain consistent diction and timing to click or instrumental

• Label takes by style, tempo and emotion

Requirements:

• Native or near-native Japanese singing ability

• Strong familiarity with city-pop and J-pop phrasing

• Clean recording environment

Background:

• Experience recording in Japanese pop styles

• Previous examples of rhythmic and ballad performance

Sample Test Task:

• Record one short city-pop section and one ballad section, each with two emotional variants.

Application Requirements:

• Short note on your connection to city-pop/J-pop

• Vocal samples

• Completion of the test script (task).

Compensation

• Per song set or per finished vocal minute.
