We are looking to find a skilled Voice Identity and Timbre Annotation Specialist to join our growing team.
You will analyse and label timbre and identity-related characteristics of voices. These annotations support models that differentiate, match and cluster voices based on their acoustic qualities.
Responsibilities:
Listen to speaker samples and describe timbre attributes using a structured vocabulary such as bright, dark, nasal, breathy, rough, smooth or metallic
Annotate perceived age range, gender presentation and speaking style where allowed by guidelines
Identify recurring spectral or textural features that make a voice distinctive and capture them in notes
Assess consistency across multiple samples from the same speaker and flag cases affected by recording conditions
Provide structured identity tags for downstream retrieval and clustering tasks
Requirements:
Strong ear for subtle differences in voice texture and quality
Ability to focus on sonic traits independently of spoken content
Comfort with repeated listening and comparative evaluation
Background:
Audio engineering, vocal production, casting, music production, radio or podcast work
Experience describing voice qualities for creative, technical or casting decisions
Sample Test Task:
Given six voice samples, describe each voice using timbre descriptors, group similar voices together and briefly justify the grouping.

Compensation
